The electronic transformer
is a component consisting of two or more coils coupled by magnetic induction. It is used to transfer electrical energy, and to increase or decrease the tension in an AC circuit, keeping the frequency.
The autotransformer has only one winding.

The Thyristors are semiconductors of four caps that are activated by application of an impulse and are deactivated on not having supplied the current of work. They handle big powers. They are recognized by the English initials SCR.
The triac and diac are bidirectional semiconductor devices.
